Cordura fabrics have a reputation for durability and resistance to punctures and abrasions. The high-strength nylon fabric is ideal for use in outdoor clothing and military apparel. The dense weave resists tears and abrasions, but is not waterproof.
Good in Any Weather
Several Cordura fabrics have water-repellent coating designed to keep you dry during wet weather. Although the fabric is water resistant, you'll still end up getting wet if you jump in a pool or stand in prolonged heavy rain. Look for cotton-like fabrics called Naturell or Nyco for water resistance. You can add water resistance to other Cordura fabrics by spraying them with commercial products such as Teflon, Scotch Guard or Never Wet.
