The Raven Model 25 was an inexpensive, semi-automatic handgun manufactured by Raven Arms from 1970 until 1991 and by Phoenix Arms from 1991 to 1993. Marketed at prices from $50 to $75 during its production run, over two million Raven Model 25s were sold. It was among the handguns frequently cited in attempts to legislate against low-priced pocket pistols generically known as "Saturday Night Specials." The blowback-operated Raven Model 25 fires .25 ACP ammunition from a six-round magazine. Constructed of zinc alloy, its barrel length is 2.5 inches and its overall length is 4.75 inches. It weighs 15 ounces. Minimal takedown of this handgun is recommended for cleaning purposes only.
