How High Should a Dartboard Be From the Floor?

There is a science to hanging a dartboard.

Consider the Height of the Bull's-eye.

The center of the bull's-eye of a dartboard should always be 5 feet, 8 inches (173 centimeters) from the ground. The first thing you should mark is this height.

Realize Dartboards Have Different Parameters.

The placement of the mounting screws used to hang your dartboard will vary, depending on the size and shape of your board. Mark the heights of the (usually two) holes on the back of your board when the bull's-eye is at 5-8 (or measure the distance from the bull's-eye to each hole and transfer it to the wall).

Bottom Line

One of these is the same all over the world.

Whatever the size of your dartboard, the international height standard for a bull's-eye is 5-8. The center of your board should be at this level after you hang it. Look at your dartboard's instruction manual for information pertinent to your specific board.
