Evinrude is a boat motor manufacturer with a history dating back to 1909.The Evinrude Intruder was an outboard boat motor manufactured between 1995 and 1998. Its specifications depend on the model and year of manufacture.
Types--115 HP
Over the four year span that Evinrude manufactured the Intruder line, three different models were produced, the 115 HP, 50 HP and 175 HP models. The 115 HP model, which was manufactured only between 1995 and 1997, is a four-cylinder, two-stroke engine with a maximum of 6000 rpm at wide open throttle. The gear ratio in 1995 was 2.25 to 1. In 1997 the ratio was changed to 2.00 to 1.
Types--175 HP
The 175 HP was the largest motor in the Intruder line. It is a six-cylinder, two-stroke outboard motor. When the motor was first introduced in 1995 it had a maximum rpm of 5500 at wide open throttle, a spline count of 15 and a gear ratio of 1.86 to 1. These specifications remained constant throughout the four years the motor was manufactured.
Types--150 HP
The Evinrude Intruder 150 HP is almost identical to the Intruder 175 HP except that it has a 150 horsepower engine. It is a six-cylinder, two-stroke outboard motor with a maximum rpm of 5500 at wide open throttle, a spline count of 15 and a gear ratio of 1.86 to 1.
