RV parks can be found along the length of Florida's Gulf Coast.

Whether they are for tourists passing through or for people staying on a seasonal or long-term basis, RV parks are located along the entire length of the Gulf Coast of Florida. Some are on the Gulf of Mexico itself and others are slightly inland. Either way, RV parks provide an affordable way to stay in the Sunshine State. They are usually equipped with many recreational amenities.

Gulf Air RV Resort

A big attraction at the Gulf Air RV Resort in the southwestern part of the state is the trolley service that stops in front of the park. It takes campers to Gulf Coast beaches located about two miles away. Five miles away from the popular tourist destination of Sanibel Island, the Gulf Air Resort has amenities such as a heated swimming pool, community room, laundry facility, picnic area, restrooms and showers. Shuffleboard courts and a lawn area for games provide additional recreation. The resort's RV sites come with sewer, water, and 30- or 50-amp electric and cable TV connections. A post office and grocery store are within walking distance. There is also a dump station as well as phone and modem hook-ups. Navarre Beach Campground

The Navarre Beach Campground is located on a private beach along Santa Rosa Sound in the northwestern part of the state on the Florida Panhandle. The beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are five minutes away from the campground, which has 135 full hook-up RV sites. The sites, 50 of which are pull-throughs, have up to 50-amp electrical connections and come with cable TV, patios and picnic tables. The Navarre Beach Campground has a propane-filling station, security gate, restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Luxury items include a heated pool and hot tub. Children will enjoy the park's playground and video game room with pool and air hockey tables. A store that sells groceries and RV supplies, a fishing pier and a fitness center are also located on the property. Sarasota Bay RV Park

Located on the bay and a short drive from the Gulf of Mexico, the Sarasota Bay RV Park features amenities such as a heated pool and spa, shower facility, restrooms, laundry facility, recreation hall, exercise room and shuffleboard court. The park, which is in Bradenton located just south of the Tampa area in Central Florida, has a gazebo, fishing dock and boat ramp along the bay-side portion of its property. A dump station, propane-filling station and picnic areas are also on the grounds. The RV sites at this 55-and-over park come with water, sewer and either 30- or 50-amp electric connections. Various events are held at the park, including exercise classes, line dancing, bingo nights, potluck dinners and shuffleboard tournaments. Sarasota Bay RV Park 10777 Cortez Rd.
